Palm Resort Golf and Country Club is situated in an enviable location, just off Jalan Jumbo, on the southernmost tip of the Malaysia Peninsular. The Golf club is just a 3-minute drive from Johor Bahru's Sultan Ismail Airport and less than an hour away from Singapore, using the second Link Expressway, making it very accessible to both visitors and those living in the region.
There are three distinct, 18-hole championship golf courses to enjoy at Palm Resort Golf and Country Club, which opened for business in 1994. Although all three courses were designed by Hiromasa Inagawa, there is enough to differentiate each of them, that they are all worth playing when staying at the resort.
Each course is named after the flora of Malaysia and as a result, they are called Allamanda, Cempaka and Melati. Each course is based on the natural rolling hills and picturesque lakes of the region and water is often a feature on numerous holes around the golf club, with large bunkers coming in to play off the tee and on approach to the green.
Playing this championship course demands full concentration. The Cempaka measures 7,156 yards from the pro tees, which requires skill in assessment and execution. More intimidating is the number of severe doglegs, narrow fairways, 9 holes of water and more than 60 sand bunkers together with the winding Serangoon fairways that would daunt any seasoned golfer. The wide expanse of undulating Bermuda greens, however, would provide an advantage to experienced green readers..
