A great 9-hole course that is perfect for those who like to come out at night and play.
Not only does The Track, Meydan in Dubai have nine floodlit holes to spare you the daytime heat but The Track’s proximity to downtown Dubai provides a ringside seat for the bright lights of Burj Khalifa and the rest of the dazzling cityscape
Next door to the world-famous Meydan racecourse, this Peter Harradine design comprises two par 5s, two par 3s, and five par 4s and runs to more than 3,600 yards from the back tees. But with four other tees per hole, choose your starting point wisely, as it can change the nature of the hole.
The course winds its way among six lakes and the options they present make 3, 4, 8, and 9 the pick of the holes. Taking on a bunker from the tee spares you an approach shot over water at 3, for example.
Choose the right tee at 4 and you could drive the green on this 358-yard par 4. How far down the narrowing 8th fairway you’re prepared to go with your drive, meanwhile, determines how much of the lake you must negotiate with your approach. And then there’s 9, a 581-yard par 5 with a carry that’s nearly all water for those going for the green in two. The more cautious continue up the fairway to take the lake out of play for their approach.
Warm up for your round at the driving range, which comes complete with its own backing music, refreshment kiosk, an analysis and club-fitting studio. Afterward, unwind in the clubhouse’s Qube Sports bar, where an extensive menu of food and cocktails await, along with 20 LCD screens and projectors.
