Royal Mingalardon Golf Course

Royal Mingalardon Golf and Country Club boasts an 18-hole, par-72, 7,218 yard championship golf course, which is among the finest in the region and had the honour of playing host to the Myanmar Open, in 2012.  Designed and developed by Developed by Zaykabar Limited, the course was established in 1995 and provides golfers with an interesting and varied round of golf.

The main features of the golf course at Royal Mingalardon Golf and Country Club, are the water hazards and strategic bunkering.  Water plays a huge role in a round at Royal Mingalardon and there are four large lakes situated around the golf course.  The majority of the water, stretches alongside four of the fairways and will punish anything which is wide of the target.  The course continues to wind its way around the water, which comes into play on more than half of the 18 holes.

The bunkers are not as prominent as the water and are mainly around the greens of each hole.  Although they and strategically placed and do present a hazard, the bunkering is generally quite light and should not cause much of a problem to seasoned players.

The greens are always in good condition and they are clearly well maintained plus local flora and fauna, make the course at Royal Mingalardon Golf and Country Club pleasing to the eye.

Additional facilities include a clubhouse, which comes complete with the Fairway Restaurant and Sakura Japanese Restaurant, providing a good choice of local and Japanese cuisine.  There is a well-stocked pro-shop and a beauty and reflexology centre, for those who like a little pampering after their round.

The set-up and location of Royal Mingalardon Golf and Country Club, make it one the best in the Yangon area.
