Located halfway between Pattaya and Bangkok and named after the river that runs through it, the Bangpakong Riverside Country Club is a course that emphasises 'green' golf course management, meaning that the extensive local wildlife and native plants are truly a sight to behold. While the wide fairways and flat terrain make this a course where even high-handicappers can expect to score well, the long par 4's make this a course where the long-hitter will really shine. Even the thick rough tends to leave the ball sitting up so as long as you can keep your ball dry you won't get yourself into too much trouble, and big hitters should have birdie or eagle chances at the 9th and 18th.

The near constant wind and the blind shots over trees that occasionally feature prevent Bangpakong Riverside Country Club from being too easy however, and at the standout 17th, your tee shot must avoid out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left whilst somehow avoiding awkward fairway bunkers. Friendly and helpful staff and the peaceful environment mean you should enjoy a relaxing day out from start to finish.

Great experience but groups in front were extremely slow & no marshal in sight

Very pretty golf course, greens could have been faster, fairways very well manacured, pace of play was an issue, there should have been a marshal around as it was very crowded

Worth a visit

A fairly standard course lay-out. Water comes into play a couple of times, fairways and greens in good condition. Pace of play in the early morning was very good. Caddy was very knowledgable.

Overall satisfactory as the course was not crowded. Club house was good except that there was no hot water for shower after the game.

Decent course, relatively flat but windy condition provides some challenge. Greens were satisfactory and running true.

Once is enough

A very good walk spoilt by a bunch of country bumpkins. Although just outside Bangkok, the attitudes of the caddies (a majority older) and local players renders a feeling of small-minded rural insularity and ignorance.
