Map of Route Beppu Golf Club Beppuogiyama Golf Club Hita City Dazaifu Tenman-gu Shrine

This one week tour in Kyushu starts in Fukuoka City with a stop in Hita City which was the political, economic and cultural center in Kyushu in the Edo Era.

Beppu Golf Club is the second oldest golf course in Kyushu area and well loved by local golfers.  Everybody who comes here enjoys its open-air bath at the clubhouse.

Beppuogiyama Golf Course is a very pretty course meandering across the hillsides with excellent views overlooking the whole of Beppu Bay and the back nine traverses the very beautiful Uchiyama valley.

Fukuoka Kokusai Country Club plays host to many events including the Yakult Ladies Tournament which is an annual tournament contested on the golf course. All 36 holes are known for their undulating fairways and testing greens, but the fairways are often wide and this makes using the driver off the tee a pleasure on most longer holes.

You wil also get the chance to explore Fukuoka: Highlights include Dazaifu Tenman-gu Shrine founded in 905 – with its beautiful arched bridge over a pond leads to this shrine founded in 905. Then you will also visit Kyushu National Museum - which is divided into five chronological sections that span Japanese history from the Prehistoric Era to the Edo Period.

Then, visit Fukuoka Tower - This tower of 234 meters above sea level is the tallest beach tower in Japan.  The panoramic view of Fukuoka city from the observation room on the 5th floor of 123 meters high is fantastic.  Lastly, you will go to Marinoa City Fukuoka – the biggest outlet mall in Kyushu area.
