Kyushu has about 250 golf courses and you can play golf comfortably throughout the year because it is warmer than other areas in Japan. This tour introduces you to three of the best golf courses in the area with a day free to explore the ancient torn of Hita which was the political, economic and cultural center in Kyushu in the Edo Era.
Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club Is just under an hour away from Fukuoka City in Japan. It is situated in-land and opened for play in 1987 and is a par-72, 18 hole golf course.
Moon Lake Golf Club Kurate Course opened for play in October 1992 and has established a great reputation in the Fukuoka region of Japan. There are 27 holes in total and they have been divided into three sets of 9 holes.
Fukuoka Kokusai Country Club plays host to many events including the Yakult Ladies Tournament which is an annual tournament contested on the golf course. All 36 holes are known for their undulating fairways and testing greens, but the fairways are often wide and this makes using the driver off the tee a pleasure on most longer holes.
Day 1: Arrival in Fukuoka Airport
After arriving at Fukuoka International Airport and transfer to the hotel in a private
chartered car.
Day 2: Fukuoka – Golf at Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club
In the morning transfer to the golf course (About 55 minutes’ drive with normal traffic condition.)
Enjoy golf at Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club - which opened for play in 1987 and is a par-72, 18 hole golf course.
Day 3: Fukuoka – Golf at Moon Lake Golf Club -Kurate Course
In the morning transfer to Moon Lake Golf Club Kurate Course (About 50 minutes’ drive with normal traffic condition.) This courses is ideal for higher handicappers as there is very little in the way of water hazards throughout the 36 holes.
Day 4 Fukuoka – Golf at Fukuoka Kokusai Country Club
In the morning transfer to Fukuoka Kokusai Country Club (About 50 minutes’ drive with normal traffic condition.) All 36 holes are known for their undulating fairways and testing greens, but the fairways are often wide and this makes using the driver off the tee a pleasure on most longer holes.
Day 5: Fukuoka – Day Trip to Hita
A full day tour to Hita Hita City is located in the west of Oita Prefecture and surrounded by mountains. Hita was the political, economic and cultural center in Kyushu in the Edo Era. Highlights include: The old merchant houses in Mameda Town, Kuncho Sake Brewery which has been producing fine Japanese sake for three hundred years. You will also visit Kangien which is the largest private school built by Tanso Hirose, a confucian
scholar, in Edo period. Later visit Onta Village which is one of the most unique places to discover in all of Japan.
