Trump International Golf Club Lido – Indonesia’s Newest World-Class Golf Destination
Trump International Golf Club Lido, set just 56 kilometers south of Jakarta near Bogor, has officially opened after more than eight years in development. This prestigious project marks the Trump Golf organization’s first venture in the southern hemisphere and is managed by Trump Golf on behalf of Hary Tanoesoedibjo’s MNC Land, part of the MNC Group. The Lido course follows Trump Golf’s earlier collaboration with MNC Land on the redevelopment of Bali Nirwana, originally designed by Greg Norman.
Nestled beneath the dramatic backdrop of three volcanoes – Mount Salak, Mount Gede, and Mount Pangrango – the Lido site has been transformed into a private golfing retreat by renowned course architect Ernie Els. His design blends natural beauty with modern strategy, creating a layout that is both visually striking and technically demanding.
Located within the expansive MNC Lido City development, a government-recognized Special Economic Zone, the club is part of a larger vision to promote tourism, leisure, and entertainment in West Java. The integrated destination is expected to feature Southeast Asia’s largest film production complex, high-end resorts, and a variety of attractions.
The 18-hole championship course opened for play in late 2023 and has already attracted a growing base of exclusive members. Facilities include a landmark clubhouse currently under construction, the first of 21 luxury private clubhouses, and nearly 200 on-course villas designed to complement the resort lifestyle.
Golfers at Trump Lido experience a layout that rewards precision and creativity. The opening nine rises gradually, peaking at the spectacular 6th hole with sweeping views of terraced rice fields and Mount Pangrango, before looping back to the clubhouse. The inward nine presents more demanding challenges, with tighter fairways, shifting elevations, and strategically placed hazards. Manicured Zoysia fairways and TifEagle Bermuda greens ensure tournament-quality conditions year-round.
Membership at Trump International Golf Club Lido is limited, emphasizing exclusivity and high-quality experiences. Only 80 players are permitted on the course daily, with membership priced at USD 70,000. Looking ahead, the addition of a new Hyatt Regency Hotel in 2025 will further elevate the destination, positioning Trump Lido as one of Indonesia’s most prestigious golf and lifestyle hubs.
