Pattaya Country Club Golf Resort has recently re-opened after a lengthy closure and has been extensively renovated. Not the most exciting course in Pattaya but one of the closest to the town and ideal for high handicappers and those trying to stretch their budget.

In the hills behind Pattaya, conveniently located just off the main Pattaya-Rayong motorway, bordered by pineapple and palm plantations lies the upgraded Pattaya Country Club.

An interesting layout with split fairways and some cleverly located bunkers but not too much water to spoil your card.

The front nine are pretty straightforward and it is not until your reach the 9th which is a long uphill par-4 and rated the most difficult on the course that things start to get interesting and could lead to a dropped shot.

The back nine is much more interesting with several water hazards in play. Hole 11 is a particularly interesting and challenging par-5 with several bunkers to negotiate and a stream which crosses in front of the raised green.

They have recently completed a brand new clubhouse with state-of-the-art facilities.

Beautiful layout. Challenging greens. Requires a little more manicuring of the fairways and surrounds.

First time we played there and we all agreed it was a great course.

Currently the course is a little dry due to the lack of rain but overall a great golf experience. My caddie was the best caddie I have had since playing golf in Thailand, she really knew how to read the greens.

Fairways were a little tired,, May have been seasonal related. The greens were in fair to good condition and were not slow. Caddy very helpful. Very quick round, which is always appreciated.

A challenging course, but suitable for most levels of play.

A little dry in parts which made for some awkward runs offs from fairways. A really good layout, and a mix of challenge and scorability for the average 18 handicapper. Good value.

Windy & slow play

Nice old course with many big trees. Front 9 holes strong wind. Feel long fairway and difficult putting on wavy slanted hole. Slow play due to too many golfers.
