An interesting golf experience every time

The "off road" Soi Dao-course not far away from the cambodian border for me is the best and most interesting courses in Eastern Thailand. After playing about 20 courses around pattaya it's always a highlight to make the long trip may be from Pattaya with high taxi costs, but it is well worth it. Every hole is interesting, but the best are the surroundings, which is nature pure. The course is hilly, has spectacular views, you go up and down and you can do it also by foot with trolley. You have everything with makes an interesting course, the layout, water and bunker hazards, which force all your golfexperience. And, it is the less crowdest course I played during high season, you'll find a teetime fitting you. Although the hotel beside often is booked out, because mainly korean groups use this place as a training-camp, may be up to forty players. But mostly they play very early in the morning their rounds and they are occupying the driving range in the afternoon for many hours, but I think, you better go for a drink or have a rest. It is incredibly quiet all around this course, especially in the evening, when you can go for dining in the restaurant listening to the sounds of the nature. I think, there won't be many load big groups here.

Topcourse "offroad"

I already reviewed this wunderful golfcourse near the cambodian border, a quite place without any facilities outside, not so overcrowded as most courses near Pattaya. Being there about 40 young southcorean players for a trainingscamp, "working" very hard indeed, starting before 6.00 a.m., driving range in the afternoon for many hours. It's impressive to see how accurate the work..... But: They also make rounds with coaches, hitting the ball sometimes more often, talking, correcting mistakes, and this would be boring, if you are playing behind.....they don't let you overtake, although you play alone and fast. So indeed they are the "kings and queens" of the course here. So take your teetime in a good Männer und you will have a great round.

Ok renewed my feelings about thai golf

What a gem and worth the 2.5 hour drive from Pattaya. Played firm not the normal thai soaked fairways. Fairways 5 approach they were doing a little work but excellent. Greens firm recepive and fast ran true, give them a 5. Tee excellent, layout 5+ . Only draw back was the driving range great they had one and a practice area, but a group had been there for almost two months and it was thread bare.. still 4. service 5+. food excellent, I staye dover night the lodging was excellent. The two caddies I had were spot on. One was a student his name was F. and Lan the second day both very good. Pace of play I was a single with no rights on the course so I got behind a a few 4 and 5 somes.. but still finished in 4 hours. First day did 27 in 5 hours with cart, second day walked 18 and was reasonable to walk. overall worth the drive and $150 for two rounds and a night at there hotel that was 5++.

This could be the best course in Thailand

This is an amazing golf course set in the mountains about three hours west of Pattaya. There is a very good hotel attached and its best to stay overnight before returning to Pattaya. There are some really beautiful holes and the course has been wonderfully designed to provide a real challenge. The course is in great condition and there were teams of workers manicuring the course. It was a little waterlogged in the early morning but soon dried out. It is very long and even from the white tees we found it very difficult to reach the greens with our second shots on the par 4's. But all-in-all an extraordinary golf course.
