Golf holidays in Boracay

Boracay is a stunning small island in central Philippines.  It has become known as not only a place for a relaxing beach holiday and surfing but also for a fantastic golf holiday.

The coral reefs and shipwrecks off the coast make for great diving and you could easily spend weeks on the island, enjoying the surroundings and playing golf.  The best way to play golf on the island is to enjoy one of our Boracay golf packages, which mixes the best of the golf and natural attractions.

To reach Boracay from outside Philippines you will need to fly to Manila, the capital city and catch a connecting flight to one of the two airports near the island.  From here you can enjoy a pleasant boat journey to the island.

Golf Holidays in Boracay

There are two distinct weather seasons on Boracay and the best weather for playing golf is between February and May.  The temperatures are cooler at the beginning of this period and the rain less frequent, allowing for more uninterrupted time on the golf course.

One of the top Boracay golf packages is called Boracay Stay and Play and this is a short break, designed to get the best out of the island and golf course.  You will be whisked from the airport to your hotel by boat and for the following three days you will have time to play golf and explore the island.

Our golf course of choice on Boracay is called Fairways Bluewater Resort Golf Club.  The 18-hole, 6,524-yard championship golf course was designed by Graham Marsh and it has played host to several international tournaments.

You will be hard pressed to find a better location for a round of golf than the tropical island of Boracay and the Fairways Bluewater Resort Golf Club makes for a beautiful day on the course.  The rolling green fairways, crystal like lagoons and superb ocean views make the course a delight on the eye.  Indeed, the contrast between the fairways and the ocean is startling and you soon realise what a special place this is for a round of golf.

Not only is trouble provided by water hazards but you must negotiate the strategically place bunkers throughout the course.  Fairways Bluewater Resort Golf Club does not play particularly long but careful shot placement is required to finish the round with a good score.

Additional facilities at Fairways Bluewater Resort Golf Club include a hotel, private white sand beach, six swimming pools, gym, jacuzzi, water sports and virtual golf.

If you would like to include this island as part of a longer Philippines break you can book Boracay golf packages to include Manila and Tagaytay.  This will see you explore more of the country but still have plenty of time to enjoy playing golf in the tropical setting of Boracay island.
