Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club

Designed and built by the JMP golf design group the course is set on one of the most dramatic parts of the Bali coastline.

The course designers have made the most of the existing terrain to create a course that weaves its way through the exposed ridges to the cliff edges and never disappoints with the aesthetics of the individual holes or the views out to the ocean and the local landscape.

The par 3 holes are challenging and with the unbelievable backdrop of the Indian Ocean the holes are stunning as well as difficult, so you need to keep your focus as you stand on the tee of each hole.

Bukit Pandawa´s greens are superb. Complex in their design and construction they provide a putting surface that is true and quick and with the coastal winds putting will not be easy.

The attention to detail is nothing more than you would expect from a top quality executive course and this is displayed with the use of Seashore Paspalum grass, which will ensure perfect playing conditions throughout the year.

But the most endearing feature to this golf course is the rustic architectural ruins and the perfect use of the natural terrain, something that you only really see in the old links courses. 

Perhaps what is more appealing about this wonderfully crafted and sympathetic natural design is the plethora of world class hotels surrounding the course. You can choose from the Mandarin Oriental, Raffles, The Fairmont or the Waldorf Astoria, and the worldwide reputation of the hotels is matched in equal measures by the near perfect design of the executive golf course.

The course offers a well-appointed club house with a number of restaurants and bars to enjoy an after round meal or drink. As expected the welcome and customer service is of a high standard.

This is a course, although a par 54, that you simply have to visit if you are in Bali. You will not be disappointed.
